2. What data we process and why

This website has no forms, no accounts, and does not collect browsing data for its own purposes. We process personal data only when you contact us voluntarily by email or phone — your name, the contact details you use and the content of your message. Purpose: replying to your enquiry and, where applicable, preparing a proposal. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For security and abuse-prevention reasons, the hosting server automatically logs the IP address and the date and time of each access (legitimate interest — art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We also collect aggregate usage statistics — page visited, date and time, referring page and browser type — without cookies and with the IP address anonymised (truncated) before being recorded, so no visitor can be identified (legitimate interest — art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and local storage

This website uses no cookies — no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies — and does not use the browser's local storage. Fonts and all other resources are served from our own server: no data is sent to third-party services while you browse.

4. Retention

Messages you send us are kept for 24 months from receipt, unless a contractual relationship is established in the meantime (in which case the applicable legal retention periods apply) or you request their deletion earlier.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell or trade your data. The website is hosted on the servers of our hosting provider (Hostinger, in the European Union) and messages are delivered to the company's mailboxes. Data may be shared with authorities where required by law.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and Portuguese Law no. 58/2019, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to the processing of your data. To exercise any right, write to info@buildto.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — CNPD, the Portuguese data protection authority (www.cnpd.pt).

7. Changes

This policy may be updated; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
